Lending Administration Officer
Help local people achieve their goals through expertise and exceptional service.
At Cairns Bank, banking is about people first.
For generations, we have helped local individuals, families, and businesses achieve their financial goals through trusted advice, personalised service, and genuine community connection.
We’re looking for a Lending Administration Officer who enjoys working in a customer focused environment and takes pride in delivering high quality support.
This is an on-site role based in Cairns. The successful applicant must live in, or be willing to relocate to, Cairns. This is not a remote working opportunity.
About the role
As a Lending Administration Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the end to end lending process and ensuring customers receive a seamless experience throughout their lending journey.
Working closely with customers and the Lending and Customer Relationships teams, you will manage lending administration activities, maintain accurate records, support lending applications, and contribute to the achievement of customer and business outcomes.
About you
We are looking for someone who combines strong administration and customer service capability with a genuine commitment to helping customers achieve their goals.
You may have experience in lending, banking, finance, administration, or a similar role. While lending experience is highly desirable, what is essential is your ability to learn quickly, adapt to new systems and processes, and confidently apply policies, procedures, and regulatory requirement in your day-to-day work.
You will ideally bring:
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A commitment to accuracy, compliance, and quality outcomes
A customer focused approach and a willingness to support colleagues and customers alike
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new systems, processes, policies, and regulatory requirements
Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach to work
Banking experience is advantageous, but we are equally interested in people with transferable administration and customer service skills and a willingness to learn.
The opportunity
At Cairns Bank, your success will be measured not only by what you achieve, but by the relationships you build, the service you provide, and the positive impact you have on our customers and community.
If you’re motivated by delivering exceptional service, supporting customers through important financial decisions, and taking pride in getting the details right, we’d love to hear from you.
To apply, please submit your resume and a cover letter outlining your suitability for the role.
Applicants must have permanent working rights in Australia.
We are managing this recruitment process internally and are not accepting agency approaches.
